The Boulder County Commissioners are waiting another week to decide whether to put a county-wide mental health tax on the November ballot.
Dozens of people attended Tuesday’s county commissioners meeting to voice their opinion on the proposed .15%sales and use tax that could bring in as much as $15 million annually for mental health services for the county. The tax would have a 15-year lifespan. But a decision was tabled because the meeting ran long with a lengthy list of public commenters. All of the speakers voiced support for the county’s mental health services, but some felt the proposal is not fully formed.
