Woodburn School District students will be starting the school year off with full backpacks.
Superintendent Juan Larios has announced that for the fifth year in a row the district will be purchasing and providing free school supplies for every student. Larios says that it is a district priority that every Woodburn student begins the school year “fully equipped and ready to learn.”
“By providing supplies for all, we remove barriers that can prevent students from starting strong. No child should feel left out, singled out, or unprepared because of their family’s circumstances,” Larios said. “We’ll ensure that every student has the same high-quality materials and tools needed for learning, leveling the playing field and eliminating opportunity gaps from the very first day of school.”…
