SEATTLE — An eastern Washington man receiving cancer treatment in Seattle faced an unexpected setback Tuesday when his car was stolen from outside a friend’s home on the first day of his medical appointments.
Val Mohney, who now calls Davenport home after spending more than 25 years living in Seattle, was staying with friend Kristin Dean in the Columbia City neighborhood to begin treatment for his prostate cancer diagnosis.
