BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — On Wednesday morning, thousands of students returned to school, marking the start of a new academic year. At McKinley Elementary School, students lined up at the gate, eager to begin their day.
Parents expressed their excitement about the return to in-person learning. Esteban Ponce, a parent, said, “I’m excited because my two daughters are going to start school again.” Another parent, Stephanie Mendoza, shared, “I’m very excited because they’re actually going to be out in school instead of home, and they get to learn.”
