Holly Springs considering 25% property tax increase

Holly Springs leaders are considering increasing the city’s millage rate from 4 mills to 4.945 mills, resulting in a tax increase for property owners.

On Aug. 4, the Holly Springs City Council held the first of three public hearings to consider its millage rate for fiscal year 2026. The city’s fiscal year runs from January to December.
