PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Clouds and patchy drizzle will greet you as you start the day, along with temperatures in the lower 70s. We will have an increasing chance of showers between 8 am and noon, then scattered showers until 4 pm. We will have persistent clouds today with highs in the lower-80s and the chance of rain is 40%.
It will be cloudy overnight with showers and a few thunderstorms developing after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 70s and the chance of rain is 60%.
Aside from morning showers, Wednesday is going to be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid-80s.
As you know, the more sunshine we have, the warmer our temperatures will be. We are expecting partly cloudy skies starting Thursday, and mostly sunny skies as we begin next week. Temperatures will stay quite warm, in the upper-80s and there will still be a slim chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms through Saturday.
Tropical Storm Erin has developed in the eastern Atlantic and will stay over the open waters of the Atlantic for now.
