A mother from Delaware County has been charged after her 3-year-old daughter was found dead in a car in Maine.

Officials say the girl died from hyperthermia after being left in a hot car for hours this weekend.

Her mother, 40-year-old Kelly Brown, of Havertown, allegedly told police she went to throw trash away when she was swept down a nearby river.
