WORCESTER – A former nurse at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, Carla LeBlanc, filed a lawsuit which alleges that Saint Vincent Hospital and its parent company, Tenet Healthcare, violated her rights under the Massachusetts Healthcare Whistleblower law. The company fired LeBlanc after her appearance on a podcast where she discussed how management decisions put the wellness and lives of patients at the hospital at risk.
LeBlanc is a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA), the labor union that represents nurses and others working at St. Vincent Hospital. MNA has long criticized hospital management for understaffing and unsafe conditions inside the hospital.
