Frequent parole hearings reopen old wounds for family of murdered woman seeking peace

OKLAHOMA CITY- (KOKH) — A family believes Oklahoma’s parole laws are making it a challenge for them to get closure. They’re notified every three to five years when their sister’s killer is seeking parole.

“I don’t know how to put this any way other than I hope I outlive him,” said Tim Ellzey, the victim’s brother.

Ellzey is referring to Raymond Delozier, the man convicted of raping and killing his sister, Cherianne Dee Callaway in 1987. Delozier was sentenced to three concurrent 20 year sentences and two concurrent life sentences…
