Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 34-year-old armed robbery suspect by officers at 8800 Aspen Meadow Drive around 7:25 p.m. on Sunday, August 10.
Officers were searching for the suspect in connection with multiple aggravated robberies when they located a vehicle matching the description. A traffic stop was attempted, but the suspect briefly stopped, questioned the reason, then fled, prompting a pursuit.
The suspect stopped at the Aspen Meadow address and exited the vehicle carrying two firearms. Despite repeated verbal commands to drop the weapons, the suspect raised one firearm toward officers.
