DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is inviting pet owners to get their pets microchipped for free in Harrison Township this Friday.
The drive-through event will be on Aug. 15 at 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. at Fire Station 94, 2400 Turner Road. There’s no cost and no limit on the number of pets you can bring.
The society said microchips help locate a pet if it ever goes missing, it acts as a permanent ID for your pet. It is a quick, simple and minimally invasive procedure and an important thing to do for your pet’s safety.
