KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Charges have been filed against a second person who is allegedly tied to the 2021 shooting death of Gerryon Kye, according to Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).
Tuesday, the Kalamazoo County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney authorized multiple charges against Julius Curtis Robinson, 28:
- Homicide – felony murder
- Three counts of weapons – felony firearm
- First-degree home invasion
- Home invasion – armed robbery
As of Thursday, Robinson remains in federal custody as he serves a prison sentence on an unrelated charge, according to KDPS.
“This case has been a long road for our detectives and for the Kye family,” Captain Danielle Guilds, Head of the KDPS Criminal Investigations Division, said. “The charges against Mr. Robinson represent another step toward justice for Gerryon and his loved ones.”…
