A woman abducted her 9-year-old daughter during a supervised visit in Carlisle on Wednesday and took her to the Dauphin County motel where she was living, police said.
Sehighya Smith, 34, was supposed to be visiting with her daughter under Cumberland County Children and Youth supervision from 4:40–6:40 p.m., according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Carlisle police.
