MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A few clouds around this morning, but it should be a sunny first part of the day at the coast, similar to yesterday. Thunderstorms this morning across the Midlands will bring showers and a storm this morning to areas west of I-95. Temperatures are mild in the mid-70s to near 80.
More storms this afternoon and evening, along with normal temperatures, and a heat index near 100 degrees. The threat of heavy rain continues with storms easily producing an inch of rain in isolated areas.
Into the weekend, a cold front from the northwest will creep a little closer, slowly on Friday. The air is a little drier behind the front, but it will still be muggy, although not as oppressive as it was yesterday and today.
