Health officials stress awareness after West Nile virus found in Johnson County mosquito

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa — Johnson County has a positive case of West Nile Virus found in a mosquito sample from the last week of July.

There have been no reported human infection cases in the county.

“This is about awareness and prevention, by monitoring our numbers, we can detect and mitigate disease risk for our residents.
