Comedian, Sitcom Actor to Bring His Book Tour to Des Moines

A popular comedian and beloved sitcom actor will be coming to Iowa in October to promote the release of his brand new book, which dives into a passion you might not know he had.

Nick Offerman has been a mainstay in TV and film for a couple decades now. Most famously, Offerman played Ron Swanson on the mid-aughts sitcom Parks and Recreation, but has since branched out to writing. He’s author several books such as memoirs and other stories, and is now giving fans an introduction to one of his loves with his next book.

Nick Offerman is Coming to Des Moines!:

Offerman’s new book is Little Woodchucks: Offerman Woodshop’s Guide to Tools and Tomfoolery. If you didn’t know, Offerman is a carpenter. He runs Offerman Woodshop, a crew of six craftsmen and women in Los Angeles, and has since 2001. He is self-taught in the field, having learned about the craft of woodworking via books and periodicals.

To celebrate the release of Little Woodchucks, Offerman will be paying a visit to Beaverdale Books on Tuesday, October 14th, the day the book will be released. To prepare for what is sure to be a well-attended event, Beaverdale Books reserved the Franklin Event Center on Franklin Avenue in Des Moines.
