These Texas suburbs are dominating America’s 2025 moving trends

HOUSTON — The Houston suburbs are at the center of America’s relocation surge, according to a new study from MovingPlace.com.

Cypress (77433) ranks as the most moved-to ZIP code in the entire country for 2025, bringing in 3,638 new residents, while nearby Katy (77493) also lands in the top five with 3,215 moves. According to the study, these fast-growing communities offer bigger homes, top-rated schools, and family-friendly neighborhoods — all within commuting distance of Houston’s jobs and amenities.

Beyond Houston, other Texas cities are also drawing thousands of newcomers. New Braunfels, between San Antonio and Austin, ranks second nationwide, while Leander outside Austin and McKinney in the Dallas–Fort Worth area also make the top 10. Together, they reflect a statewide trend: Texas suburbs are dominating the national migration map, offering a balance of affordability, opportunity, and quality of life that’s hard to beat.
