Homeless in Yorkville face new restrictions after city passes camping ban

The Yorkville City Council has passed a new ordinance banning what’s called “public camping” on city property, including local parks. The ordinance will likely mainly affect homeless individuals who sleep or camp in public spaces.

The council approved the measure unanimously Tuesday night.
