Illegal game room raid in Waipahu leads to two arrests

WAIPAHU, Hawaii (Island News) – The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) busted an illegal game room located in the Waipahu area on Tuesday, August 12.

HPD officers from the Narcotics Vice Division executed a search warrant at an illegal gambling room on Lumiauau St. in Waipahu.

During the search, police officers discovered 16 gambling machines and $2,837 in cash, and also arrested a 62-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man for Promoting Gambling in the Second Degree. They were also arrested for Possession of Gambling Device.
