PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A 67-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Okeechobee Boulevard.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash took place at around 6:09 a.m. on August 14, on Okeechobee Boulevard, near State Road 7. Investigators say the driver, identified as Davy Lewis Ford of Royal Palm Beach, was traveling eastbound when his vehicle crossed through an unprotected median and entered the westbound lanes.
The Ford F-150 that Ford was driving then mounted the raised curb on the north side of the roadway, collided with a concrete streetlight pole, and struck a palm tree with the front driver’s side. The impact caused the truck to rotate counterclockwise before coming to a final rest facing northwest…
