Irritating plants and bugs don’t have to spoil outdoor adventures

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Being aware of toxic plants and animal’s will help you to enjoy your time outdoors better.

“I think that if you have an awareness of them know what they look like. If you start getting close to what looks like a mound of wasps nest in the ground stay very far away from that because you don’t want a swarm around you,” said Dr. Christopher Holstege, Director of UVA Health’s Blue Ridge Poison Center.
