Couple breathing new life into long abandoned Harrisburg hotel for a good cause

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa (WHP) — An eyesore to the Harrisburg community is in early talks of getting brought back to serve a noble purpose it’s all too familiar with.

When retired Navy veteran Brian Douglas and his wife Grace took over ownership of the historic Lochiel Hotel in 2016, they used the first floor as a bar and restaurant named the 901 Lounge—a spot that quickly became a place many frequented.

Known for its music scene, the lounge was featured as a “hidden oasis” by outlets like The Burg when it first opened. But the Douglasses used the bar’s success to fund a passion they prioritized most—serving the community…
