West Memphis man going back to federal prison for 10 years

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – A West Memphis man is headed back to federal prison. This time, he’ll stay there a decade.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Arkansas said a judge handed down a 120-month prison sentence to 25-year-old Christopher Grays. The West Memphis man pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm in February 2025. He’ll also be under three years of supervised release when he completes his 10-year sentence in federal prison, where there is no parole.

Grays served 46 months in federal prison from November 2020 through October 2023. That sentence also resulted from Grays being a felon in possession of a firearm. Authorities said Grays was only out of prison for four months before he was rearrested…
