Suspect Named in Austin Target Shooting That Killed 3

A shooting at a Target store in Austin left three people dead Monday afternoon. It happened during the busy back-to-school shopping rush. Police say the man, who they have identified as Ethan Nieneker, fired the shots tried to get away in not one, but two stolen cars before being caught on the other side of the city.

“This was a sickening, cowardly act of gun violence,” Austin Mayor Kirk Watson said in a message on X.
