Second family sues Algiers daycare over toddler’s lead exposure

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – There’s a new lawsuit against an Algiers daycare, its landlord, and the state over a toddler’s exposure to lead.

Patrick and Sara McGinnis sued The Crescent School, the Santa Maria Benevolent Association of Algiers, and the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).

The family alleges their three-year-old son was exposed to “dangerous, toxic and hazardous levels” of lead and “alarmingly high levels” were found in his body after attending the school for a year…
