Albuquerque man pleads guilty after fleeing, ramming police vehicles

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man pleaded guilty Thursday morning, after leading police on a chase in November 2024. Lawrence Gray pleaded guilty to aggravated fleeing, assault on a peace officer and receiving a stolen vehicle.

APD says police service aids responded to reports that a white truck had hit multiple cars in a hit and run. They located the vehicle in a parking lot in the area and called for officers. When officers arrived they determined the license plate was not valid and attempted a traffic stop. Police say the driver intentionally rammed multiple police vehicles and almost struck two officers who were in the parking lot. As officers were pursing the vehicle it crashed into a median near Coors and Central and Gray was taken into custody.

Judge Britt Baca sentenced Gray to ten months, which he already completed with pre sentence confinement, and supervised probation…
