IOWA CITY – On what would have been the first day of his murder trial in the death of Ryan Cooper, defendant Huston William Danker, 27, pleaded out to the single charge of murder in the first degree on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
According to Keith Greenberg, a producer with Dateline NBC who was present for jury selection in Johnson County District Court Tuesday morning as the only member of the press, Danker pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.
