MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Just in time for the new school year, the Madison Metropolitan School District has expanded its full-day 4K programs to the Ray W. Huegel, Lapham, Midvale and John Muir elementary schools.
“We’re trying to get to that next step where we’re equitably offering full-day 4K for everyone who needs it across the district,” said Culleen Witthuhn, MMSD’s Director of Early Learning. “It’s super important that children get a strong foundation for education, and that starts with our 4-year-olds in 4K.”
Some MMSD schools already offer full-day 4K, but not all, and none offer it five days a week.
