A driver transporting newspapers printed at the Lewiston Tribune sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning on U.S. Highway 195, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Eugene “Pat” Long, 75, of Clarkston, was driving a 2016 International semitruck about 6 miles south of Rosalia when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road at around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday. The truck crashed through a guardrail and rolled down an embankment, according to a WSP news release.
