Key strategies include using lights on timers to mimic an at-home routine, leaving a radio or TV on with smart plugs or timers, and parking a car in the driveway. Homeowners are also advised to ask neighbors or friends to collect mail and packages to prevent accumulation, and to arrange for lawn care to maintain a well-kept appearance.
