Columbus postal worker who allegedly set fire to ex-fiancé’s car faces mail theft charge

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus mail carrier who allegedly set fire to his former fiancé’s vehicle last week was charged with mail theft Wednesday, court documents say.

According to an affidavit from the Franklin County Municipal Court, 36-year-old Brian Triplett was arrested on Aug. 8 in connection with a vehicle fire.

Investigators later discovered he possessed several pieces of U.S. Mail in his personal vehicle. A warrant has been issued for Triplett’s arrest after he was released on bond from the previous arrest…
