MONTGOMERY, Ala. — A record number of alligators were harvested Thursday in Alabama’s West Central Alligator Management Area, with 23 alligators taken.
The Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division said that among the alligators harvested was a massive specimen measuring 13 feet 7 inches and weighing 620 pounds.
