Mobile drivers adjusting to new downtown traffic pattern

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) —Driving through downtown Mobile will look a little different starting this week.

Pensacola’s Captain Joey Patti’s to shut down in September

Twenty-six traffic lights are now flashing red, converting several intersections into four-way stops as a part of the city’s $1.1 million Downtown Street Optimization Plan.

Some residents say they’re already missing the old lights.

“I prefer we should have a normal light, because a four-way light, it depends, like some people might not understand what the four-way light represents,” a Mobile resident said…
