MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The heat of summer has set in and it’s been a sweltering season, which can pose issues for the elderly and people with young children. A local Murfreesboro man has stepped in to help cool people down.
Dwight Ogleton lives a simple life in a more rural part of Murfreesboro, but he steps up in a big way for his neighbors every summer, collecting and handing out box fans for people who need a way to get a break from the heat.
Ogleton has been doing this since the 1990s, he told News 2, and it’s become a popular thing.
