APD documents detail previous suspension of RCSO Sergeant arrested for DWI

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Documents obtained by Myhighplains.com from the Amarillo Police Department detailed that a Randall County Sheriff’s Office sergeant who was arrested on a DWI charge was previously suspended from Amarillo PD for an alcohol-related incident.

Randall County Sheriff’s Office sergeant on leave after alleged DWI arrest Wednesday

RCSO Sergeant Logan Landrum was placed on administrative leave from the Randall County Sheriff’s Office after he was arrested Wednesday by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Landrum was arrested by Texas DPS for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

According to documents obtained from the city through a FOIA, Landrum was previously suspended without pay from the Amarillo Police Department in June 2022.

The documents detail that Landrum was suspended for “Use of Alcohol and Drugs,” while on duty and for being intoxicated in a public place on or off duty.
