SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Greene County from Aug. 15–18.
To help residents stay cool and safe during these extreme temperatures, the Springfield-Greene County Park Board is providing several cooling center locations.
When staffing and facilities allow, the Park Board also aims to keep at least one outdoor pool open later during Heat Events, including:
- Saturday, Aug. 16, Fassnight Pool, 1305 S. Main Ave., open 1-8 p.m.
- Fassnight Pool is also open Sunday, Aug. 17, 1-6:30 p.m.
Because of school starting, all other outdoor pools are now closed for the season…
