La Luz Coffee: 1-year anniversary
- Saturday, 7-10 p.m.

The anniversary party will feature house music, pizza on the patio and coffee, mocktails, affogatos and more. The coffee shop has prided themselves in being host to local jazz musicians since opening a year ago.
Boxing Bear beer launchand animal shelter benefit
- Friday, Aug. 15, 6-9 p.m.
Boxing Bear Brewing Company is hosting a release party for its newest beer – Wiggle Piggle Pale Ale – named after the head brewer’s dog, Wiggles.
Cross My Paws Animal Rescue will also be there with animals you can adopt. Both Boxing Bear taprooms will be accepting donations for the rescue…
