LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. — Evacuations remain in place for much of the area near the Crescent Road Fire in Lincoln and Spokane counties, meaning those who live closest to the flames still cannot return home. That includes Morgan Walters, a woman who says her home was the first to burn.
Walters says she and her boyfriend raced to their home in the Devil’s Gap area when a neighbor texted, “911” to Walters.
