Tacoma to add new signs along Marine View Drive to deter vehicle encampments

TACOMA, Wash. — There’s a new plan to keep car encampments from popping up in northeast Tacoma.

City officials will be adding permanent “no parking” signs along Marine View Drive between the Cliff House restaurant and the Hylebos bridge off East 11th Street, according to Tacoma City Councilmember Sarah Rumbaugh. The parking model will replace the existing orange barrels and temporary “no parking” A-frame signs.
