Three nabbed with forgery device at local bank

Attempted to cash checks at Citizens Bank

LATHAM — Police say a New York City trio attempted to use fake documents, including checks and identification, to steal money from accounts at Citizens Bank on Loudon Road on Wednesday, July 30.

According to reports, police apprehended the suspects at the La-Z-Boy store at 4:55 p.m. after they made an attempt at the bank. Police said they possessed a device used in forgery when they caught them.

Kyasia Frederick, 32, of Brooklyn, and Gquan Duley, 27, and Chihe Williams, 24, both of New York, were detained and charged with criminal possession of a forgery device – with intent to use, possession of a forged instrument, and attempted grand larceny, all felonies, and unlawful possession of a personal ID, a misdemeanor…
