Afternoon highs near 90 degrees combined with high humidity could push heat indices close to 100, adding to the stress of the unstable weather pattern.
According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, isolated severe storms may fire late Saturday afternoon into the overnight hours, with confidence remaining low but enough instability to trigger damaging wind gusts and localized downpours. The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of northern Indiana under a marginal risk for severe weather Saturday into early Monday.
Cities including South Bend, Fort Wayne, and Warsaw could see storms impact evening travel and outdoor events.
