Nashville man arrested after fleeing police, linked to shooting girlfriend last month

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A man accused of shooting his girlfriend last month was arrested Thursday after fleeing police and discarding a stolen handgun, Metro Nashville police say.

Detectives say Deangelo Derrick, 39, ran from them on Lewis Street before tossing the gun.
