WATERTOWN, Tenn. (WKRN) — In quiet Watertown, it’s the hottest ticket in town.
The Stardust Drive-In Theatre has a taste of the past, here in the present. The owners, Barry and Dawn Floyd, got into the business on a bit of a whim in the summer of 1998.
“We were pulling out that night and I said, ‘What if we owned a drive-in?’ said Barry. “And she said, ‘Well you’re nuts,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, I know, but what if we owned a drive in?’ Then she said, ‘If you’re serious, look into it.’ Well, it took five years from the night I said it would be a neat idea to the night that we opened.”
