LUBBOCK, Texas–For Daisy Sanchez, life changed in an instant. She was a healthy young mother, eagerly welcoming her new baby into the world. But during the delivery of her son Hayden on April 12, her heart gave out. Doctors diagnosed her with postpartum cardiomyopathy, a rare and serious condition that causes the heart to weaken after childbirth.
