OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – After several delays, demolition of Omaha’s Civic Auditorium began on this day in 2016.

The venue opened its doors in the mid 1950’s, and was a very popular spot for concerts and graduations.

The eight acre site, now known as Civic Square, is a multi-use development that will feature retail, affordable housing, and a grocery story once it’s complete…
