TACOMA, Wash. — Franklin Pierce Schools and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office have mutually agreed to terminate their School Resource Officer (SRO) contract, accoeding to a release from the district.
Although SROs will no longer be present on campuses daily, Franklin Pierce Schools said it will continue collaborating with the Sheriff’s Office to respond to emergencies and ensure a safe learning environment.
