CHARLESTON, S.C. – The only Democratic candidate to announce a run for South Carolina governor responded to calls to drop out of the race.
Charleston Police recently released a video of Charleston attorney Mullins McLeod’s May 2 arrest during which McLeod, shown sitting in the back of a police car, uses a racial slur, profanity and goes on an hourlong rant.
Sometimes speaking to officers and sometimes speaking to no one at all, McLeod’s conversation ranged from berating officers and using profanity to calmly talking about legal cases or conversations he’s had with prominent figures…
