Clovis Unified is at risk of losing an annual state grant of $12.6 million as the district struggles to meet a requirement to maintain a smaller class size for students in early grade levels.
The K-3 Grade Span Adjustment grant at risk was established in 2013 to support districts in reducing average class sizes to 24 students or fewer in kindergarten through third grade at all elementary schools.
