‘Animal lovers don’t stop at county lines’: New foster radius expansion is minimizing overcrowding at Huntsville Animal Shelter

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – The Huntsville Animal Shelter has announced that it will expand its foster radius, following severe overcrowding this summer.

The shelter now allows people who live 20 miles outside of the county lines to foster an animal.

Before the change went into effect, animals in the shelter could only be fostered in homes within the county…
