ROCKY MOUNT, Va. (WDBJ) – Friends and family gathered at the Pigg River Community Center Saturday to celebrate the life of Joey Lee Callaway, a Franklin County native who passed away earlier in August after a crash involving a Franklin County deputy.
Callaway was remembered as a state wrestling champion in 1988, an electrician, and an avid fisherman. Loved ones say his faith, humility, and kindness made him stand out.
